Download and install or reinstall Office 365 or Office 2019 on a PC or Mac. Go to Downloads, and double-click Microsoft Office installer.pkg file (the name might vary slightly). Select the PC or Mac tabs above to help you with the rest of the install process.

Users who have upgraded to Microsoft Office 2016 may have an unwelcome surprise when they go to open their InfoPath files. Installing Office 2016 will remove InfoPath, leaving users unable to open files with an .XSN extension.

There is a way for you to get Infopath back though. Just download InfoPath from Microsoft’s download site and install it to your system . It will work just fine with your Office 2016 install.

If you’re expecting future upgrades for Infopath, you will be disappointed. InfoPath 2013 will be the last version of the application. However, Microsoft will continue to support the 2013 version through the year 2026.
